Does a lot of eye makeup make already big eyes look bigger or smaller?

I heard that a lot of dark eye makeup makes eyes looks smaller but I was wondering if that goes for only people with smaller to medium eyes or for bigger eyes too.

I don't really want to make them pop anymore than they already do. I'm going for not buggy. :]Does a lot of eye makeup make already big eyes look bigger or smaller?
If you have already large eyes, you can still pull off a nice dark smokey eye or a toned down neutral look. Line your lower lashline as well as waterline with dark brown or black eyeliner, this will create the illusion of smaller eyes. A good trick I learned from my makeup artist friend is to wear colored lipstick. Avoid nudes..this way, all the attention won't go to your eyes. It will be an overall affect.Does a lot of eye makeup make already big eyes look bigger or smaller?
if you line your inner rim with black, they look cool and smokey, but they do indeed look a tad smaller.

If you have what the make up industry calls ';protruding eyes'; (which is actually one of the more attractive eye shapes) in which the balls of your eyes tend to stick out a bit from your face, then try putting a shimmery dark brown over the entire lid. You're eyes will still be the same attractive size, but will no longer look like they're protruding.

good luck(:
If you aren't going for buggy then definetly lay off the mascara and eyeliner, it draws more attention to the largeness of your eyes. I think shadowing around it would make them a little smaller.
Avoid using white/light colored eyeliners if you don't want your eyes to pop or look bigger. Applying eyeliner on the waterline usually makes your eyes a bit smaller as well.
uhhmm you can make your eyes look big either way :)using a cream eye shawdow and either a little pencil or none with a lot of last blast makes them pop. or like brown or black smokey eyes%26gt;
Lots of dark make up make any eyes look smaller. But only by a very subtle amount.
smaller
