A smokey eye basically means having a lighter shade on the lid and then a darker shade in the crease.

For example, doing a purple smokey eye.

Take a light purple of any shade, and apply all over the lid. Take another shade of purple that is at least 3 shades darker (just do this by eyeballing the difference between the shades), or you can choose a colour such as charcoal or dark purple-black if you want to go for a darker look, and apply to the crease (part of the eye where it goes in) and sweep it down the side of the outer lid just slightly. Then just blend everything. Use a black or charcoal liner, or brown for a lighter look, and smudge into lash line.

That would look wonderful on green and hazel eyes.

Anyone can do smokey eye when done properly :) Youtube ';smokey eye tutorial'; and you will find like, a billion tutorials and different looks that you can play with and experiment with.
it will look amazing

follow these steps

Things You鈥檒l Need:

# Dark brown or black eye liner

# Brown matte eye shadow

# Lighter shade eye shadow

# Small makeup brush

# Medium-small makeup brush

# Mascara

# Eyelash curler

1- Smooth concealer over the entire lid, creating a base for the shadow to stick and stay put for hours. This look requires a heavy amount of makeup and it's essential the eye is prepared correctly so the makeup doesn't crease or wear off in a few hours.

2- Curl your eyelashes.

3- Begin by carefully lining the top and bottom of the eyes with a dark brown or black liner. Soften the lines by gently smudging with a fingertip or cotton swab.

4- Line the top and bottom of the eyes next with a matte brown eye shadow using a small brush. Stay close to the eyes, and blend out toward the crease. The color should be in a chocolate or lighter cocoa color. Stay away from red- or pink-toned browns which will give you a sickly look.

5- Dust the entire eyelid with a lighter color using a makeup brush. A shimmery shadow works well. Choose a color that compliments the darker brown but steps it up a bit. A bronze or gold tint would look best.

6- Finish with volumizing waterproof mascara on the eyelashes. It should be either black brown or black, depending on which color eye liner was used. Once the first coat of mascara has dried, apply a second coat to the top lashes only.

7-Use softer shades of makeup on the lips and cheeks so nothing will compete with the dramatic eyes. Soft and light nude shades look best.
